The Haras d'Etreham will be the new sponsor of the Prix Jean Prat Gr.1
The Haras d’Etreham and France Galop are pleased to announce a new partnership represented by the sponsorship of the Group 1 Prix Jean Prat. This will come into effect with the forthcoming 2021 edition of this Group 1 contest for three-year-old colts and fillies and competed over the seven furlongs straight of Deauville-La Touques Racecourse.
Already committed to the sponsorship of five stakes races at Auteuil since 2019, promoting the fillies national hunt program, the Haras d’Etreham wished to invest also in a high-level flat race. This new partnership demonstrates the Etreham’s strong desire to support France Galop, the French racing industry, its professionals and particularly breeders.
The choice of Deauville was a natural one, for its welcoming setting, proximity with breeders, and of course, its Prix Jean Prat Gr.1. Nicolas de Chambure, Managing Director of the Haras d’Etreham, explains: “For several years we have been searching for a sponsorship project with a top-level race and we are delighted to associate the stud with the Prix Jean Prat, the final Group 1 of the European season reserved to the three-year-old generation. This contest is becoming a reference in the selection of future stallions, having been won in recent years by horses such as Pinatubo and Too Darn Hot. Through this sponsorship and the hospitality we will offer on the occasion, we also wish to express our gratitude to all those who support us, and share with them a magnificent day at the races.”
July 11th promises to be an exceptional day of sporting action as the racing program also features the Prix Ris-Orangis Gr.3, Prix Kistena L., Prix La Calonne L., Prix Amandine L. as well as the Prix Roland de Chambure L. which will also be part of the sponsorship. “We wished to enhance our association with this race which was named in memory of my grandfather and I would like to thank France Galop for accepting our request,” adds Nicolas.
