Almanzor's first yearlings to sell at European sales in September

Almanzor, The European Champion in 2016, Cartier Awards winner at 3yo, will have his first yearlings to sell in a month. 

As a triple Gr.1 winner, smashing his rival Zarak in the Prix du Jockey Club, winning against 8 horses winners of 22 Gr.1 in the Irish Champion Stakes and beating the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe winner, Found, in the Champion Stakes, Almanzor’s first crop of yearlings should be successful.


Two fillies are entered in the Baden Baden catalogue, following the Doncaster sale which will exceptionally be the first one on this particular year.
Lot 169 is the 2nd foal out of multiple Group placed, 3rd in the Preis der Diana Gr.1, Amona.
The well-bred filly by Fresh Air, from the family of the very talented SISKIN, CLOSE HATCHES and TACITUS, and sold for €260,000 at the 2019 Arqana Breeding Stock Sale will be lot 189.

 

Wootton Bassett’s son will be also well represented in Deauville from September 24 with not less than 32 yearlings.
Lot 35, 2nd. Foal out of the 2yo Champion in Germany BOURREE, consigned by Haras d’Ombreville will be the first through the sales ring.

Obviously, Haras d’Etreham has the bigger draft from the young stallion with : 

  • Lot 79, a sister to the listed winner Eliade out of the full sister to Gr.1 winners and multiple Group placed WITH YOU and WE ARE.
  • Lot 185 is a first foal out of the listed winner and 3rd of Prix Cléopâtre Gr.3 Penny Lane, herself is a sister to multiple Group races winner PEACE ROYALE.
  • Lot 231,  a sister to Group winner SUPHALA and group placed SIVOLIERE, and granddaughter of the champion SOPHISTICAT.
  • Lot 255, brother to SANS EQUIVOQUE, group winner at 2. 
  • Lot 274 is nothing other than triple Gr.1 winner, Breeder’s Cup winner and 2019 best American filly, UNI
  • Lot 460, a bai filly out of Prix de Royaumont Gr.3 winner SEDICIOSA which has already produced SAN HUBERTO, multiple listed winner and recently Prix du Vicomtesse Vigier Gr.2 hero. 

 

Famous Ecurie des Monceaux will consigned two colts by Almanzor :

  • Lot 87, brother to 4 blacktop horses including dual Gr.1 winner in US, COIL.
  • Lot 101, out of the listed winner Glittering tax which has already produced three blacktype horses along with triple Gr.1 winner MISS TEMPLE CITY.



13 others consigners will present 21 yearlings by Almanzor at Deauville in September among others :

  • A colt out of multiple group winners KITAYA ex US LAW and FRANKUUS's sister (lot 48)
  • A filly out of Prix Exbury and de la Nonette Gr.3 2nd, Diyakalanie (Lot 70).
  • A filly out of a Galileo filly, from the family of PEINTRE CELEBRE (Lot 187)
  • A filly out of a sister to stallion Doha Dream. (Lot 191)
  • The sister to 3 blacktype winners TRIP TO RHODOS, DANZA CAVALLO and BROWNIE.
