The king of National Hunt has had a new Gr.1 winner, thanks to Gaillard du Mesnil. 

The french bred out of a Al Namix mare has landed the Gr.1 Novice Hurdle at Leopardstown on saturday 6th february for trainer Willie Mullins. 
Bred by Ecurie Cerdeval, the 5yo gelding was bought for €250,000 by Pierre Boulard (PB Bloodstock) at the 209 Arqana Autumn Sale.
