Haras d’Etreham announces the arrival of Fernando Laffon Lomba as Commercial & Bloodstock Director.

Currently in Australia for the Magic Millions sales, Fernando will soon join the Normandy stud farm on time for the traditional stallion tour. This arrival is part of Haras d’Etreham’s strong momentum, both in terms of his stallion and breeding operations, as well as his training center. In this key role as Commercial & Bloodstock Director, Fernando’s mission will be to strengthen relationships with owners, breeders, and partners, support the commercial activity of the stallions, and actively contribute to the stud farm’s development.

Fernando has extensive experience in the world of racing and breeding, both in France and internationally. He previously worked in the bloodstock and nominations department of the leading American stud farm Lane’s End. His in-depth market knowledge and customer service skills are major assets for Haras d’Etreham.

“We are delighted to welcome Fernando to the Etreham team. His expertise, network, and dynamism perfectly align with our values and ambitions,” says Nicolas de Chambure. “His arrival marks a new stage in the development of our organization, allowing us to embark on new projects.”

Fernando Laffon Lomba adds: “I am very happy and honored to join Haras d’Etreham alongside Nicolas de Chambure and his team. Etreham is not only a leading name in French breeding, but also a major player internationally, thanks to the quality of its partnerships and its comprehensive vision of the industry. This stud farm has a long history of excellence, to which I am particularly attached because of the historical and familial link between my family, through my great-grandfather Alec Head, and that of Roland de Chambure.” Back from Australia, I am delighted to meet the breeders, support them in their breeding decisions, and actively contribute to the development of the bloodstock and partnerships, both in France and internationally.
