FRANCE GALOP AND THE HARAS D’ETREHAM EXTEND THEIR PARTNERSHIP WITHIN THE NATIONAL HUNT DISCIPLINE

France Galop and the Haras d’Etreham are pleased to announce that their partnership within the jumping discipline will be extended for a further three years.

Within this agreement, the Haras d’Etreham will be the official partner of the forthcoming editions of the Haras d’Etreham Prix Magalen Bryant Gr.2. This hurdle race contested over 2 ¼ miles and reserved for three-year-old fillies boasts a total prize fund of 175,000€ thanks to contributions from the partnership. The race takes place each year at Auteuil on the Saturday of the 48h of Jumping weekend in early November.

On this occasion the Haras d’Etreham will reward the winning connections and will offer a nomination to one of the stud’s jumps sires to the successful owner.

The Haras d’Etreham’s support of the fillies and mares jumping division is also embodied by the presentation of a nomination to the owners of the winners of Group races reserved for females: Prix Sagan, Prix Christian de Tredern, Prix Chambly, Prix Magne and Prix André Michel (all Gr.3).

These nominations will be presented on the day of the Haras d’Etreham Prix Magalen Bryant Gr.2, during a cocktail reception hosted by the Haras d’Etreham in the presidential grandstand at Auteuil Racecourse.

Since 2019, the Normandy stud, a major influence on the National Hunt sphere in France with its renowned stallions, the European leader SAINT DES SAINTS, champion steeple-chaser GOLIATH DU BERLAIS, the rising star MASKED MARVEL and the young sire and sole Gr.1 winner by Camelot at stud, LATROBE, has invested significantly in support of the jumping discipline.

The initial partnership was focused upon the programme for three-year-old fillies, through the sponsorship of five black-type races culminating in the Haras d’Etreham Prix Bournosienne Gr.2, which became the Haras d’Etreham Prix Magalen Bryant Gr.2 in 2021. As well as adding 30,000€ to the prize fund of the latter contest, 15 nominations have been presented to the owners of winning fillies.
